Who is Schroer & Sons Contracting?
Your consultant’s name is Ryan Schroer. Ryan is the owner of Schroer & Sons Contracting. Ryan started Schroer & Sons in 2006 with an idea to be a different kind of home improvement company. Home improvement contractors generally fall into one of two categories: inexpensive with poor workmanship, and expensive with quality workmanship. Ryan wanted to provide homeowners with the best of both: quality workmanship at a fair price.
In 2007, he partnered with Classic Metal Roofing Systems (classicroof.com) in Piqua Ohio and his vision began to unfold. The Classic Metal Roofing products are among the best quality roofing systems available today. They are the industry leader in residential metal roofing shingles.
Over the last 7 years, Schroer & Sons has expanded to service all of Western and Central Ohio. We are the metal roofing dealer for your territory. Below you will learn what to expect from your roofing consultation.
Your Roofing Consultation:
Your appointment is a no-obligation-to-buy consultation only. At Schroer & Sons, we do not believe in pressuring anyone into a home improvement contract. Choosing a home improvement contractor is an important decision. We want to provide you with enough information for you to make an informed decision. Of course, we would love to be your choice of contractor, but we know we are not right for everyone.
Any point during your consultation you feel that Schroer & Sons Contracting cannot provide you with the service you are looking for, please feel free to tell us “No, thank you.” We will not bother you again.
Your consultation will last around 2 hours depending on the scope of your project. It may be necessary at some point for Ryan to inspect the work areas for your project. He may need to access your roof, your attic, or your basement. Be sure to prepare for this possibility when the time of your consultation nears.
Whenever possible, we prefer to meet with everyone involved in deciding which home improvement options are best for your home. Your Free Attic Inspection:
Part of any Schroer & Sons roofing consultation is our free attic inspection. Your consultant will be equipped with an attic inspection kit which he will use to investigate the condition of the underside of your roof deck. During the inspection he will use a thermal imaging tool to look for moisture damage. We do this because many expensive roofing repairs could be avoided when a leak is detected early. If any damage is detected, your consultant has been thoroughly trained on how to address these issues.
Your Free Estimate:
After your consultation, your consultant will provide you with an estimate. In most cases, we are able to provide you with an estimate the same day, right in your home. However, in some cases, an estimate may require a couple days to get it right. Either way, you will receive an estimate which includes the scope of the work, a breakdown of your project, and a final cost. We will email or mail a copy to you.
Once you have your project estimate, we will let you decide when to sign a contract with us. Many of our customers decide the same day of their appointment. Others decide to think it over. If you decide to think it over, a representative of Schroer & Sons will contact you by phone around 1 week after your appointment. If you are still not decided, we will leave you alone for at least a month. If you decide to go with another contractor, just let us know. No hard feelings. We appreciate being considered.
